How To Fix Weather Icon That Won't Change When WinterBoard Themes Are Applied

It appears that phones that are unlocked or not from US, have a stubborn problem with the weather icon not changing when winterboard themes are applied to your jailbroken iPhone. Here’s how to fix this pesky bugger.

What you need:

• Jailbroken iPhone – Guide
• OpenSSH – (Can be downloaded from Rock)
• FTP Client – (Mac or PC)
• Text Editor

Alternatively you can use iFile, you can find this one Rock or Cydia.

Connect your iPhone to your Wi-Fi and Open the FileZilla or your FTP client and connect your iPhone’s IP Address. Use the credentials: Login: root Password: alpine.

Navigate to var/stash/Applications/Weather.app/Info.plist.

Remove two lines :

<key>SBIconClass</key>
<string>SBWeatherApplicationIcon</string>

Save the file and respring your iPhone. Voila. Your weather icon should now change, provided the theme your using has a weather icon.
